Our Team

All of our supervisors and office team members are in some way affected by disability whether it be themselves or a family member.  This gives a greater understanding to the challenges our trainees, new employees and permanent staff members face as they work their way through the programme and learn the new tasks required, or manage production.  There are expectations for every individual, which we tailor on a case-by-case basis rather than just one for all.

This takes time, patience, and dedication on the part of the supervisor, but it also requires discipline and determination on the part of the trainee/employee.  This is not learnt overnight; it takes time and we understand that and ensure each person has the opportunity to grow at a pace that pushes the boundaries of their limitations, without breaking them.

We are a business, and we need to make money to keep our doors open.  Our Employees work hard at what they do, and without them we would not be here.  Whether office or factory, every employee has a role to play, that is just as important as the next person.  Just because we have disabilities, it does not make us any less.  Sometimes it can be easy to forget this, or to make quick assumptions.

Wanganui Enterprises is an important part of the Wanganui community, and the local economy, via wages, materials and services.
